YOGA RETREAT

AT THE NORFOLK CHAPEL

Mindful Movement & Meditation Weekend

We are so excited to announce this 2025 retreat in the village of Briston, North Norfolk. We will be staying in a beautiful 1820 converted Chapel, with a range of accommodations to suit your needs and homemade vegetarian food. We will be practising Yoga and Pilates in the local village hall and explore the area with guided walks.

The retreat begins on Friday evening and we finish with one final goodbye class on Sunday before a light lunch and departure at around 15:00pm.

Over the weekend, you’ll experience a combination of Vinyasa Flow Yoga practises and restorative Pilates classes. There will be the option to delve deeper into mindfulness and meditation with guided walk and sitting practises; while ensuring you have plenty of free time for relaxation.

The Chapel is located in Briston, a small quiet village about 4 miles away from the busy town of Holt and about 20 minutes from Cley beach and the beautiful coastal path!

All guests will share access to the 2 BATHROOMS in the property one upstairs with a free standing bath and one downstars with a large walk in shower.

Spaces are limited as we can only accommodate a maximum of 8 people total at this venue. Everyone welcome. No experience required.

ABOUT THE FACILITATORS

The weekend will be led by two instructors Vanessa and Katriona, each from very different, but complimentary backgrounds, bringing together Yoga, Mindfulness and Pilates.

ABOUT KATRIONA

I started practising Pilates over fifteen years ago and was immediately drawn to the precise movements and deep core engagement. Pilates has given me a strong core, increased flexibility and a strong awareness of the muscle chains in my body. The balance and alignment of Pilates have been fundamental in helping me learn other movement-based activities such as tennis, salsa and tango dancing. In 2020 I trained to teach with Balanced Body so I could share the benefits of Pilates with others. I love communicating movement patterns and teaching body awareness. It’s so inspiring to see people's body confidence and capability grow.

ABOUT VANESSA

I am originally from Italy, but I have spent half of my life in the UK. Yoga has been a companion since my teens; it has always helped me to find myself, to calm down and be more grounded. I love that through the slow conscious movement of the asanas, married with the deep breath, the mind becomes clearer, more present and can appreciate life in a new light. What Yoga offers to me is magical; it speaks about presence, growth and love for everything and everyone. A feeling of openness and inclusion is created during the practice and more often these feelings can easily be transferred in every day interaction, changing the way life is around us and with others.
